I don't have any idea how I missed the fact that the Superbowl is happening Sunday. For some reason, I thought it was next week, and made zero plans, panicking a little bit when I saw on television Tuesday night that it was only days away.
And now, I find myself confused that I'm actually annoyed that -- for once -- a huge event hasn't been shoved down my throat for weeks on end. A middle ground would've been nice in this case, however, it doesn' ...

-- Kirk Hoensheldt, 55, of Sprakers, was charged with second-degree menacing following a traffic stop in the town of Amsterdam. Hoensheldt allegedly brandished a knife to another driver during an altercation on the road. He was taken to Fonda barracks and was issued tickets to appear in Amsterdam town court at a later date.
