The Canajoharie Library is requesting $100,000 in annual funding from the taxpayers they serve. The same request was unfortunately turned down in 2012, due, I think, partially to the fact that there was rampant misinformation circling the vote.
In 2012, the library had hired professionals to help them get the word out about the funding request, but this year, library staff is putting the word out on their own. Library Director Leah LaFera said du ...

New York State Police Department

-- The New York State Police Department in Princeton arrested Stephanie P. Jones, 27, of Palatine Bridge, on April 18. She was charged with five counts of issuing a bad check. The Price Chopper Fraud Department alerted troopers to the issuance of the bad checks by Jones at the store located on Altamont Ave., town of Rotterdam. The checks, issued on four different dates. totaled $797.88. Jones is scheduled to appear in Town of Rotterdam Court on May 1.
