Fulmont looking to fill board position

FONDA -- The Fulmont Community Action Agency Inc. has one vacancy on its board of directors to represent the consumer sector in the eastern portion of Montgomery County.

Fulmont is an agency that operates programs and services designed to assist the economically disadvantaged, elderly and disabled residents of both Fulton and Montgomery counties.

If anyone is interested in filling the board vacancy, one must be nominated by petition requiring fifteen signatures of people from the consumer sector of the community. 

The petition must be turned into the Amsterdam Outreach Center, 1200 Riverfront Center, Amsterdam, no later than 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14. Elections of prospective candidates will be held at the Amsterdam Outreach Center between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15. 

Petitions may be picked up at the outreach center or Room 213, County Annex Building, Fonda. For further information contact Ann Black at 853-3011.
