Ada Hotaling turns 99

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Ada Hotaling turned 99 in December 2012. Born in New York City, and raised in Schoharie, she graduated from Schoharie Central School in 1933. She was married for 57 years to W. John Hotaling, who passed away in 1995. She was employed at Hudson’s Market in Pattersonville, Frederick and Sons Florist in Schenectady, and Tesiero’s Pharmacy in Amsterdam.

Her children are Mary Lou and Tom Coughlin, of Tribes Hill, and Marlene and Paul Hotaling, of St. Johnsville.

Her grandchildren are Thomas J. Coughlin, Jr., of Fort Johnson; Paul J. Hotaling, Jr. and Scott R. Hotaling, both of St. Johnsville; Timothy P. Coughlin, of Amsterdam; Cheryl Frank and Terri Osborne, both of Schenectady.

She has eleven great-grandchildren.
