BOE election rescheduled for April 16, absentee voters must submit new ballots

Friday, March 22, 2013 - Updated: 8:25 AM

ST. JOHNSVILLE — The rescheduled date for the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Board of Education election has been set for Tuesday, April 16.

Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. at the D.H. Robbins Elementary School in St. Johnsville.

The state Department of Education postponed the original date of the election, March 19, because of a winter storm.

All absentee ballots submitted for the originally scheduled election are void. Any resident who will be unable to vote in person for the April 16 vote must request a new absentee application and ballot. Absentee ballots are expected to be available next week.
