St. Johnsville Senior Saints make April plans

ST. JOHNSVILLE -- Eleven St. Johnsville Senior Saints, of the group's 44 members, had their blood pressure taken prior to the Wednesday, April 2 meeting at the St. Johnsville Community House. 

The business meeting was conducted by Vice President Stella Bull. A moment of silence was observed in memory of Lucy Giaquinto.

Winners of the 50/50 raffle were Eva Hart and Kathy LaCoppola.

Club members agreed to provide a basket for the Margaret Reaney Memorial Library fundraiser "Flapjacks and Fairytales" to be held on Sunday, May 4 at the H.C. Smith Benefit Club.

Sally Thomson reported sending cards to members, including Tom Croce.

Dorothy Yacowenia and Irene Krasko were welcomed back.

April birthdays were honored with a birthday song and refreshments were provided by Grace Snell and Dorothy Yacowenia.

The group's annual "Special Event Meeting" will be a pizza and wings party held at Lombardos Restaurant on Route 5 in St. Johnsville on Wednesday, April 30. Further information will be available at the group's April 16 meeting, when a sign up sheet for members will be made available.

New members and guests are always welcomed.
