ST. JOHNSVILLE — Bellen’s Archery and Recreation, the St. Johnsville business that celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2011, held a grand re-opening on May 19, inviting the community to come in and see all the ways the business has grown.

The event also provided the opportunity to introduce a brand new line of Bowtech products. Owner/Technician Darren Bellen said he’s wanted to sell Bowtech products, which are top-of-the-line, for years, but was unable to because the company makes dealers sign territorial agreements. When the nearest dealer went out of business at the beginning of the year, Bellen quickly made a move to acquire Bowtech products.

Bellen stocks a wide range of Bowtech items, including bows for men, women and children, with bows available both fully equipped or bare. Also available is a full line of Octane accessories.

On May 19, Bellen’s held free giveaways — providing $50 targets to the first three people that purchased Bowtech equipment — along with raffles and a barbecue.

The event also allowed Bellen the opportunity to show off his newly revitalized 20-yard, indoor archery range, where he recently installed new carpeting. Bellen noted that the range will soon expand to include a state-of-the-art TechnoHUNT archery simulator, which should be installed and operational by the end of June.

Bellen also noted that the shop carries a full line of crossbows.

Bellen’s Archery and Recreation is currently open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1-9 p.m. The shop, located at 7798 State Highway 5, will be open six days a week under those hours beginning mid-July. For more information, or with questions, contact Bellen’s Archery and Recreation at (518) 568-8022.
