Thursday, June 19, 2014 - Updated: 3:30 AM

ST. JOHNSVILLE -- Last week's meeting of the St. Johnsville Senior Saints, attended by 44 members, featured a talk -- "Finding Your Gears in Later Years" -- aimed at senior drivers.

Guest Speaker John Snyder is associated with the OFA. Snyder spoke about late-in-life safe driving, which includes maintaining healthy eyes and related structures, caring for ear problems, medication management, mobility and exercise.

Informative booklets were members.

The business meeting was conducted by President Tom Croce.

A report was given by Sally Thomson, who spoke about cards sent to the ill and shut-ins.

Winners of the 50/50 raffle were Alice Jean Thompson and Pat Briele.

June birthdays were celebrated with refreshments provided by Joyce TenEyck and Linda Parisella.

The Saints are concluding their regular meetings for the season with a picnic on Saturday, June 14 at the H.C. Smith Benefit Club.

Meetings will resume at the St. Johnsville Community House on Wednesday September 3, at 1:30 p.m.
