PALATINE BRIDGE — Marjorie (Marj) Aney, of Palatine Bridge, was recently honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Montgomery County Office for Aging, Inc. at a luncheon held at the Raindancer Restaurant in Amsterdam.

She has been an active volunteer for several years. She has been a tireless advocate for older adults as well as a dedicated Senior Picnic volunteer according to Attorney Del B. Salmon. Attorney Salmon also explained that she is the front line person he has chosen to represent him and relay important information to his clients. She is also the face of his Elder Law practice.

She has become the person that many hospital discharge planners, senior organizations, nursing home and adult home administrators, turn to with questions.

This annual volunteer recognition event, represented by more than 71 volunteers, was sponsored by MVP Health Plan. Jeanne So was the guest speaker for the event.
