Howard wins gold and silver medals

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- Sheldon Howard, a St. Johnsville resident and Tae Kwon Do competitor, recently competed in the AAU National Tae Kwon Do Championships held in Fort Lauderdale July 4-5.

Howard took gold in forms and silver in sparring.

Howard is a karate fifth degree black belt that started Tae kwon Do about a year ago to supplement his karate training. Howard won the AAU Adirondack regionals in February to qualify him for Nationals as a member of the New York team.

Howard is the Wellness and Group Exercise Director at the Fulton County YMCA.
