23rd annual Nelliston Days to be held July 12 and 13

NELLISTON -- The Nelliston Activities Council will host the 23rd Annual Nelliston Days craft show and flea market on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13. Village-wide garage ales will take place throughout the weekend.

Nelliston Days will begin each day at 10 a.m., concluding at 6 p.m.

There will be food all day both days at Randy's Kitchen, starting with breakfast both mornings. Lunch will include burgers, hot dogs (available with meat sauce), sweet sausage, hot sausage with peppers and onions, french fries, salt potatoes and fried dough. Coffee, tea, lemonade, iced tea soda and water are also available.

On Saturday and Sunday, J&M Amusements will provide a variety of attractions. Florian's World of R/C Cars will provide demos on Saturday. Also on Saturday, there will be easy listening soft jazz music provided by the Chronkhite/Miller duo from 10 a.m. until Noon.

This year, the event will feature the second annual motorcycle "Poker Run" with registration starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, with drivers meeting at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded.

On Sunday, July 13, Big Al's Rock and Roll Show and Annual Cruise-In Car Show will be held from Noon until 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded.

On Sunday, there will also be a barbecue catered by "Atomic" from Noon until sold out. There will be ribs, pulled pork and chicken.

There will also be raffles all day long, both days, with prizes donated by local merchants. Nelliston Days will also feature a dunking booth, crafters and flea market vendors, free face painting and balloons. 

Admission to the park is free.

The Nelliston Activities Council is a non-profit group, and this annual event helps to support the children's playground and other seasonal activities that improve the quality of life for the village and surrounding area.

The event is held at the village of Nelliston Park, located three miles west of Exit 29, of the I-90 New York State Thruway, on New York State Route 5, 13 miles west of Fonda and 15 miles east of Little Falls.
