Montgomery County Public Health seeking potential volunteers

Thursday, July 17, 2014 - Updated: 1:30 AM

Montgomery County Public Health is looking for volunteers to utilize in the event of an emergency or major disaster. By pre-registering with ServNY, Montgomery County residents will be prepared to use their valuable skills, talents and experiences where most necessary, and improves a community's ability to assemble emergency response as needed.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, registration through the ServNY database can be done by accessing the Public Health site at: www.co.montgomery.ny.us/publichealth. On the left hand side bar, click “volunteer”.

Registering simply indicates that you are open to the idea of volunteering. It does not guarantee that you will be called upon, nor does it mean that you must participate if called.

Any questions can be referred to the Montgomery County Public Health Office (518) 853-3531.
