CANAJOHARIE -- The following news from Arkell Hall Adult Home is from July 13 through July 18:

Dreamcatchers performed at Arkell Monday evening, July 14. Twelve Dreamcatchers, the former "Bob Cats" ladies singing ensemble, entertained a group of 16 residents, six tenants and two guests. Everyone enjoyed an evening full of favorite songs and show tunes such as "Theme From Cats", "The Rose", "Let Me Call You Sweetheart", and many more. Keyboard, banjo and electric guitar added a special touch to the performances.

Mike O'Connor visited Sunday afternoon, July 13, to play a laid back music on his guitar for the residents.

Joanne Resch led a painting class. Residents learned another new technique this month using crayons, paint, glue and glitter.

Everyone at Arkell had a joyful fellowship time this past week with Pastor Mark Fowler, of Johnstown's Church of the Nazarene. He provided a musical hymn sing theme during his service. Twelve residents were present.

Thursday, July 17, ten residents joined four guests, drivers and Activities Director Linda Klump on a picturesque ride and lunch out to the "Blue Mango Grill" in Cooperstown.

Several residents joined Kim Lawrence, director, for a game of group crossword Friday, July 18.

Donald Nestle went out with family. Jessie Dingman had a visit from her grandchildren and daughter-in-law. Evedean Sierra went out with Kay Watson for the day.

Natilie Conover, Taya and Ronda Kardash were in to visit Isabelle Hoffman.

Lorraine Thomas was in to visit her mom, Reva McGowan.

Last, but not least, bingo was played. Dorothy and Nancy, and Isabelle Hoffman and Maguerite, tied for a win in the last game for a full card bingo.
