MVWC raises $2,654 for USO

CANAJOHARIE -- The Mohawk Valley Women's Club and Palatine Literary Society held a successful fundraising barbecue on July 12 in downtown Canajoharie. They were able to raise $2,654, which will be sent to the USO to help them to continue to deliver comfort, morale and recreational services to the military. USO Centers are visited by troops and their families nearly nine million times per year.

The Palatine Literary Society and Mohawk Valley Women's Club belong to the Greater Federation of Women's Clubs, which is a volunteer organization that works to improve community through volunteer projects.
