Annual Fireman's Fair to be held Aug. 18-23

ST. JOHNSVILLE -- The Annual St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department Fireman's Fair will open on Monday, August 18, and will continue through Sat. Aug. 23, concluding with a giant fireworks display at 10 p.m. on Saturday. 

Rides open nightly at 7 p.m., with the food booth open from 11 to 1 daily for lunch, reopening each evening for dinner at 5 p.m. The food booth will remain open through the duration of each evening.

Each night will have a specific theme or event. Monday will be Bike Night. Tuesday is Apparatus Night, wherein numerous fire departments will show off their equipment. Wednesday is Race Cars Night and Bargain Night for rides. Thursday is Wrist Band Night. Friday is Armed Services Night, which will honor and appreciate those who are serving or have served. Saturday will be Ride Matinee day, with rides operating from 2-6 p.m. A car show will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Advance sale ride tickets are currently available at Curly's, Little M and Kinney's in St. Johnsville. 9 tickets for $5, which is more than 50 percent off the price of tickets at the fair. Get them before they sell out.

The fair will take place at Soldiers and Sailors Park, Lion Ave., St. Johnsville.
