Canajoharie-Fort Plain Elks Lodge #2621 made their annual trip to the VA Hospital in Syracuse, taking a total of 1,535 items, with a total value of $3,953.36. This year, six Elks and their families made the trip. While visiting the hospital, the Elks conducted bingo, distributed canteen books, served refreshments and talked to the veterans. There were 37 veterans playing bingo. Over 90 veterans received refreshments with the help of Veterans Chairman Tom Yager. He has served on the committee from 1989 to present. In April of this year, he was appointed Central District Veterans Chairman.
