FORT PLAIN — Jovonna Marie Failing, daughter of Todd and Robin Failing of Fort Plain was united in marriage Sept. 1 to Cornelis Addriane Kretser, son of Jason and Cornelia Kretser of Palatine Bridge.

A ceremony took place at Crystal Chandelier in Middleville with the Rev. Steven A. Scarcia officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was Jessica Coons of Ilion. Bridesmaids were Melissa Lindsay of Cortland Manor; Sabrina Turcotte of Maine, cousin of the bride; Jenifer Colon of Amsterdam; and Alyssa Smith of Johnstown.

Flower girl was Hannah Sampson of Maine, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Donald Kretser of Canajoharie brother of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Marcus Failing of Fort Plain, brother of the bride; Michael Robbins of Palatine Bridge; Daylen Lathers of Johnstown; and Joshua Darrow of Johnstown. Ring bearer was Landon Kretser, nephew of the bridegroom.

A reception took place at Crystal Chandelier in Middleville.

A wedding trip was taken to Cancun.

They live in Johnstown.
