Louise Bateholts
August 12, 2012

Mrs. Louise Bateholts, 76, formerly of New St., St. Johnsville, NY passed away peacefully on August 12, 2012 at Palatine Nursing Home.
She was born on September 15, 1935 in Ames, daughter of the late John and Opal (Schwabrow) Swank.
Louise was educated in Canajoharie. On March 16, 1974 she was united in marriage with Adelbert Bateholts.
Louise enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and coloring books. She loved her cats and her dogs; especially Tippy.
She is survived by her husband Adelbert Bateholts; her three sisters: Ruby Craver and Rita King, both of Fort Plain and Barbara Stowell of Canajoharie; her two brothers: Earl Swank of Fort Plain and John (Anne) Swank of Burlington Flat, NY; her aunt Ruth Tenczar of Albany, her cousins: Russel (Letty) Shwannow of Florida and Willis (Susan) of Johnstown, two stepdaughters: Judy (Ed) Aker of Fort Plain and Betty (John) King of St. Johnsville; one stepson: Donald (Zora) Bateholts of Fort Plain; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephew.
The family received relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. from 12pm-2pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. A religious service was held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2pm with the Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating, Procession followed to Ames Cemetery where she was laid to rest.

Carmita I. Dye
August 10, 2012

Carmita I. Dye, 101 of St. Johnsville and formerly of Fort Plain passed away on Friday August 10, 2012, with her loving family by her side.
She was born February 4, 1911 in Fort Plain the daughter of the late Alvin & Nellie (Cook) Crouse, and was educated in Fort Plain schools.
She was united in marriage to Richard Dye on April 11, 1935 in Fort Plain. Mr. Dye passed away on October 5, 1982.
Mrs. Dye was last employed at Beech Nut in Canajoharie, NY. She retired on September 6, 1974.
Carmita was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Plain, NY.
Survivors include her son, Bruce Dye and wife Stephanie of St. Johnsville, NY; a daughter, Lorraine Perkins and husband David of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Hazel Smith of Clinton, NY; 2 grandchildren, Sean Perkins of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Richelle Fuhs and husband Kenneth of Oceanside, California, a great grandchild, Laiken Fuhs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins and a very   special canine companion, “my Dolly,” Zoe.
In keeping with Carmita’s wishes all funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Joan L. Martin
August 12, 2012

Mrs. Joan L. Martin, 69, of Horning Road, Palatine Bridge died peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2012 with her family by her side.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.  
Interment will take place in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.  
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
