Patricia Earley King
August 19, 2012

Patricia Earley King, 58, of Canajoharie died on August 19th, 2012 at 10:30AM of nasopharyngeal cancer.
She was born in Catskill, New York, daughter of Annabelle Robinson and John Earley, Sr. and lived in Canajoharie for the last 25 years.
Patty began her career in Governor Rockefeller’s office, was promoted to a position in the New York Department of Mental Hygiene’s alcoholism division, then moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked at the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Following her five years in D.C., she returned to upstate New York and began   working at home so she could be with her sons.
Her multiple endeavors included proofreading and editing       voluminous court transcripts, becoming a self-taught medical     transcriptionist for a nationwide company, and creating resumes and marketing documents. Most recently, she worked as a Child Support Investigator for the Montgomery County Department of Social Services. She was an active volunteer in Canajoharie’s Boy Scout Troop 81 for many years.
Francis Polimino provided constant love, care, and support and made all her days worthwhile. Her “greatest achievements,” she would say, are her sons: Tyler MacPheerson King of Canajoharie and Jake Slater King, who lives with his bride, Amanda, in Greensboro, N.C.  Tyler’s unique sense of humor and ability to unveil the true core of any issue kept her amused and intrigued. She enjoyed long, comfortable conversations with Jake, able to discuss any topic in depth with Jake always interested in her thoughts and opinions.
Patty is also survived by three brothers: John A. Earley, Jr. and his wife Vicky, Daniel W. Earley and his wife Marcia, and Kenneth DeLuca and his wife Cheryl. She was predeceased by her sister, Jo Ann DeLuca. She also has many caring nieces and nephews. Chrissy, Peggy, Marta, Angela, Debbie and Judy are the friends who were  simply always near.
No formal services will be held, but a gathering will be held for  family in the near future. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Medical Center.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
Please visit Patty’s guestbook online at www.brbsfuneral.com.
