Elizabeth A. (Tish) Belfance
September 8, 2012

Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Tish) Belfance 81, of Currytown, NY died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Mountain Valley Hospice Home, Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY.
 Born in Amsterdam, NY on February 19, 1931 a daughter of the late Dewey and Irene Edwards Dievendorf.  She was a 1948 graduate of  Canajoharie High School.
She was employed as a Lab Technician at Beech-Nut (Hero) Foods in Canajoharie for over 20 years retiring in 1986.
On January 22, 1949 she married Donald Lewis Belfance. He passed away on January 2, 2011. They would have been married 62 years.
She is survived by eight loving children, Duane and Sandy Belfance of Latham, Roxanne and Andy Duncan of Gloversville, Jane and Fred Yager of Canajoharie, Donna and Roger Gifford of Florida, Alton and Susan Belfance of Sharon Springs, Naomi and Larry Davis of Amsterdam, Karen and Jeffery Martin of Gloversville, and Kathy Belfance of Ft. Plain. Twenty three grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a grandson Robert Mogensen, a  great-grandchild Jordan Santiago.            
She was a loving wife, and mother who loved reading the Bible along with listening to music and playing the piano. She also loved arts and crafts and was very athletic. She ran a restaurant and was a great cook.  
All are welcome to attend a service on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1:00P.M. at the Kingdom Hall, 165 West Grand St., Palatine Bridge, NY.
There are no calling hours.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. Arrangements are under the direction of the  Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY.  
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, P.O. Box 360, Palatine Bridge, NY 13428 or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078.

Reva Goodrich Dufel
September 9, 2012

Reva Goodrich Dufel, 84, formerly of West Dufel Road, passed away Sunday morning at the Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor Florida.
Born in Walton NY on June 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred Schloss Goodrich and lived in this area since 1944 having moved to Trinity, Florida in 2002.  
She graduated from the Fultonville High School Class of 1946 and was employed as a nursing        assistant for twenty-four years by St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam from which she retired in 1990. Throughout her life she assisted her husband on their farm which became Dufel’s Scho-Mo Farm & Stand on Rt. 5S.  Reva had been a member of the former Johnstown United Methodist Church.
On October 16, 1948, she was united in marriage to Walter E. Dufel who predeceased her in August of 2000. She also lost a granddaughter Lisa Catandella.
She leaves her sons W. Edward Dufel Jr. Canajoharie, NY and John A. (Linda) Dufel, Tribes Hill, NY and daughters Donna (Carl) Catandella of Center Moriches, NY, and Linda (Howard) Harris of Palm Harbor, FL, 12 grandchildren; seven  great grandchildren, and a  brother David Goodrich of Peru, NY.
A graveside service will take place on  Friday at 11:00 am at the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville. The Rev. Ed Hackett, Jr. will officiate.
There are no prior calling hours at Reva’s request.  
A reception will follow at the home of John Dufel.

Paul A. Vacca
September 5, 2012

Mr. Paul A. Vacca, 54, passed away on September 5, 2012 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long courageous battle with cancer
He was born on July 9, 1958, in Little Falls, son of the late Felix and Marguerite (Castrucci) Vacca. He graduated from St. Johnsville High School. Paul was employed as a Concrete Mason with the Bricklayers Union, Local #2 in Albany.
Paul loved the H.C. Smith Benefit Club and was a 32+ year member. Through the Benefit club he was also involved in many community programs: the St. Johnsville Schools, St. Johnsville Little League, the St. Johnsville Senior Citizens and the St. Johnsville Youths. He was a huge New York Mets and NASCAR fan. His sense of humor will be greatly missed by his       family and by his beloved friends whom he thought of as family.
Paul is survived by his longtime companion and special friend Becky Hagadorn; her daughters: Stacey, Jennifer, Sarah Beth and Jessica Hagadorn; his brother Peter Vacca and his wife Veronica (Peaches) and niece Leanne, nephew John Vacca of North Port Fl; his grandchildren: Joslin Cole, Jordan Simzer, Jocelyn Simzer, Tyler Mussmacher, Bailey Fink and Hayden Buck.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00am- 12:00pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A religious service will be held immediately following the calling hours at the H.C. Smith Benefit Club with the Rev. David A. Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Paul's name be made to the H.C. Smith Benefit Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
