Fort Plain Police Department

• Jordan J. Ahrens, 16, of 6 Witter St., Fort Plain, was arrested Aug. 25 for violating curfew.

Ahrens was stopped for a traffic violation riding his bicycle and found to be in violation of the village curfew. He was provided an appearance ticket and released, asked to appear in the Town of Minden Court at a later date.

• Rebekka L. Cruse, 32, whose address is listed as “homeless”, was arrested on August 25, charged with second degree harassment.

Cruse was arrested after she punched a male in the mouth during a domestic dispute at 9 Reid Street. Cruse was arraigned in the Town of Canajoharie Court where she was released after an order or protection was issued for the victim. Cruse was also ordered to appear on a future date in the Town of Minden Court.

• Michael A. Shostek, 27, of 200 Canal St., Fort Plain, was arrested on Aug. 29, charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Shostek was stopped upon request by the St. Johnsville Police Department, who were investigating a gas drive off in their village. Upon a license check on Shostek, it was found that he had two active revocations for prior DWI and DWAI convictions and an active suspension out of the city of Schenectady for failing to answer a summons in 2004. Shostek was taken into custody and arraigned in the Town of Minden Court where he was remanded to the County Jail on $500 cash or $1,000 bond.

• Christine C. Horning, 35, of 200 Canal St., Fort Plain, was arrested on August 29, charged with second degree facilitation of aggravated unlicensed operation.

Horning was arrested after allowing Michael Shostek to drive her vehicle knowing he had a revoked license. Horning was issued an appearance ticket for a future court appearance.
