Fort Plain Police Department

• Edgar A. Aranda, 31, of 939 Newkirk Ave., Brooklyn, NY, was arrested on Sept. 5, charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Edgar was arrested for failure to use a designated lane and AUO 3rd after he was involved in a traffic accident. His vehicle left the roadway, striking and damaging a stop sign, fire hydrant and tree on Canal Street. He was processed and released on tickets to return to the Town of Minden Court.

• Julie A. Madison, 42, of 30 Reid St., Fort Plain, was arrested on Sept. 6, charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Madison was arrested after she was stopped for speeding. It was then determined that her license was suspended. She was processed and released to return in the Town of Minden Court.

• Brent W. Baker, 19, and Bo M. Baker, 20, both of 9 Center St., Fort Plain, were arrested on Sept. 7, charged with trespassing, a violation.

The Bakers were arrested after being observed on school grounds after 11 p.m. They were processed and released from the scene to return to the Town of Minden Court.

• Nathan J. Hazzard, 22, of 1761 St. Rt. 51, Ilion, was arrested on Sept. 7, charged with trespassing and possession of an open container, both violations.

Hazzard was arrested after hew as observed in school grounds, in possession of alcohol, after 11 p.m. He was processed and released from the scene to return to the Town of Minden Court.

• Kristopher W. Prevost, 22, of 29 E. State St., Fort Plain, was arrested on Sept. 7, charged with trespassing and possession of an open container, both violations.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office

• Carl L. Vitale, 52, of 656 Lynk St., Sprakers, was arrested on Sept. 7, charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate stop lamps following a vehicle stop for the alleged equipment violation. A subsequent DMV check allegedly revealed that Vitale’s license had been suspended for allegedly failing to answer a summons. Vitale was issued two traffic tickets and released. He is scheduled to appear in Mohawk Town Court on Sept. 25 to answer the charges.
