New York State Police

• State Police in Fonda arrested David A. Palmer, of St. Johnsville, on Oct. 11, charging him with public lewdness.

Police received a complaint stating that Palmer was viewed masturbating in the front seat of a vehicle at the Medical Arts parking lot, located off State Route 30, Amsterdam. Palmer was released on an appearance ticket, ordered to appear in the Town of Amsterdam Court on Oct. 25.

Montgomery County Court

• Joshua M. Bennett, 25, of 343 Old Fort Plain Road, Fort Plain, was sentenced three months in jail, five years of probation, a $2,500 fine, $500 in restitution, and must forfeit a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Bennett pleaded guilty in August to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance in connection to his Feb. 18 arrest in the town of Minden that involved cocaine.
