Policeman visits high school

Thursday, December 13, 2012 - Updated: 8:21 AM

“Who pays for your uniform?” “Can you get a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt?” “What are you doing when you’re not patrolling around town?” Those were just some of the questions the students in Juliane Carson’s life skills class at Canajoharie High School asked Officer Raymond Renzi from the Fort Plain Police Department during his recent visit. Officer Renzi talked about what it takes to become a policeman and what his job entails, because the class has recently been talking about communities and the different careers that are available. “The kids came up with a lot of questions and were really excited to have him here,”  Carson said. “One student talked about it all week.”
