Testimonial to a friend

To the editor:

I take this opportunity to write a testimonial to a friend. The reader may rest assured that if that friend did not deserve this honor it would not be put forward.

That friend is Sally Rappa who had been a long time employee of Canajoharie Library and Art Gallery. This writer has been on the board of trustees there for many years. During those years I have watched Sally go the extra mile to make the visits of people from near and far more productive and pleasant. These efforts reached from answering questions for information about ancestors, planting and tending flowers, playing the piano and serving snacks at functions, folding great amounts of advertising mail all the way to carrying hundreds of pails of sludge from the lower level during the devastating flood.

Sally is no longer employed at the library and art gallery and museum. It is my opinion that this great local treasure will be a little lesser of a place because Sally is no longer there.
