Mrs. Norma G. De Vost, 93, formerly of Canal Street, Fort Plain, and most recently of Montgomery Street, Canajoharie, New York died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Wilkinson Center in Amsterdam, NY, following a brief illness.
Born on June 9, 1921 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of John and Bertha Gould. She had been a resident of the Fort Plain area since 1944.
Mrs. De Vost was a mother and homemaker in Fort Plain, NY.

OESJ Alumni Soccer Game to be held Oct. 3

ST. JOHNSVILLE -- The Second Annual OESJ Alumni Soccer game will be held Homecoming weekend, Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park. All players will be given a Wolves t-shirt. Cost to play is $15, with proceeds going to the OESJ Booster Club. A youth penalty kick shoot-out will be held at half-time. Trophies will be awarded. Canajoharie volleyball thwarts OESJ comeback

CANAJOHARIE -- On the verge of a collapse, the Canajoharie Lady Cougars volleyball team roared back in the deciding set of Thursday's Western Athletic Conference match against the OESJ Lady Wolves.
"We just got it together and got it going again," Canajoharie senior Gracie Adams said after her team's five-set victory, 25-15, 25-19, 19-25, 20-25, 25-16.
Adams helped to lead the Lady Cougars (3-0, 3-0) with a team-high 17 service points, eight kills and six aces.
