OESJ's Çlark named WAC softball MVP

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville softball's Leann Clark was named the Western Athletic Conference North Division's most valuable player Monday afternoon.

Clark is a junior pitcher for the Wolves, which were co-champions in the WAC North Division with Canajoharie.

OESJ also had a first-team selection in Caitlin Handy, while Kyleigh Hayner was named to the second team.

Joining Handy on the first team from local schools were Fort Plain's Haley Kilmartin and Kendra Trembley; Galway's Felicia Snyder; and, Canajoharie's Bri Slater, Lauren Balfe and Shy Logan.

Second-team selections from the area included Fort Plain's Abby Boyer and Shauna Cotton; Galway's Sabrina Williams and Jess Freebern; and, Mayfield's Mackenzie Biggers and Lyndsey Barber.
