FORT PLAIN -- Soren Shirley scored a game-high 13 points, leading the Fort Plain girls basketball team to a 35-32 win Tuesday night over Saratoga Central Catholic in Western Athletic Conference action.
Alexis Hagadorn added eight points and Sierra Logan chipped in six for the Lady Hilltoppers, who avenged a 47-30 loss to Saratoga Catholic in December.

CANAJOHARIE -- Mike Hartlieb turned in a career-best performance with 32 points and 14 rebounds, leading the Canajoharie Cougars to a 59-41 win over Northville in Western Athletic Conference boys basketball action last Wednesday evening.
Hartlieb had 14 of Canajoharie's 26 field goals, made all four of his free throws and was a dominant force in the second half, scoring 22 of his 32 points in the final 16 minutes of the game -- including 14 in the fourth quarter.

CANAJOHARIE -- Senior Jace Fox has set a new Canajoharie High School football passing yards record having topped off his Cougars career this year with 3033 yards.
Fox’s record includes 170 completed passes on 397 attempts, 36 touch downs and an average 17.8 yards per completion.
Fox also holds the record for the school’s longest touchdown pass from the line of scrimmage at 93 yards. Fox threw that pass against Whitehall in during his sophomore year connecting with Jordan Brownell.

NORTHVILLE -- Ryan DeLaurie scored a game-high 20 points, and the Fort Plain Hilltoppers used a huge run in the third quarter to surge past the Northville Falcons, 59-48, in Western Athletic Conference boys basketball play Friday night.

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Jimmy Fiaschetti led the way with a 562 triple and a high game of 204 as the Canajoharie boys bowling team topped Saratoga Central Catholic, 4-0, in Western Athletic Conference competition Wednesday.
Damien Sullivan added a 189-531 series, which finished with a 2,630-2,339 advantage in total pins.
Saratoga Catholic was led by Kyle Bailey, who finished with a match-high 606 series and a high single game of 215.

RENSSELAER -- The Canajoharie Cougars rallied from an 18-point deficit Friday night, but couldn't complete the comeback as they fell 24-20 to the Rensselaer Rams in a Section II Class D football game.
