Netflix Announces Release of Zack Snyder’s Epic Space Adventure “Rebel Moon”
Netflix has just dropped an exciting new trailer for Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated film, “Rebel Moon โ Part One: A Child of Fire”. The streaming giant revealed that the film will have a limited one-week theatrical release on December 15th, 2022, followed by its availability for streaming on Netflix starting December 22nd.
“Rebel Moon” boasts a star-studded cast, including Sofia Boutella, Ed Skrein, Cleopatra Coleman, and Cary Elwes. The film, set in the same universe as Snyder’s previous Netflix hit, “Army of the Dead”, takes viewers on an epic space adventure. It follows the journey of a young woman who must assemble a group of warriors to save the galaxy from a tyrant’s invasion.
Interestingly, Snyder also revealed that there is a character from “Rebel Moon” who will make an appearance in the upcoming “Army of the Dead” animated series, further connecting the two projects.
Originally, “Rebel Moon” was written as a mammoth 172-page script, intended to be a single three-hour plus movie. However, it has been divided into two parts for its release. Each part will have a director’s cut available, catering to adult viewers.
Before its highly anticipated Netflix release, “Rebel Moon” will have special theatrical screenings in cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Toronto, and London. These screenings will give fans a chance to experience the film on the big screen before its digital release.
It’s worth noting that Netflix’s involvement in the film industry extends beyond content creation. In a strategic move, the streaming giant acquired the iconic Paris Theater and the historic Egyptian Theatre, aiming to preserve the cinematic experience and provide a platform for its exclusive releases.
With its visually stunning universe and an all-star cast, “Rebel Moon โ Part One: A Child of Fire” promises to be a must-watch for fans of sci-fi and action genres. As anticipation builds, audiences anxiously await the release of this epic space adventure on Netflix.
